As we continue to grow, we're always seeking collaborators to deliver workshops and other events, as well as volunteers for various roles focused on sexual health, sex education, content creation, and journalism
Content creators: We have several positions available for anyone looking to hone their storytelling and social media skills. Content creators will help Pillow Talk with video content, infographics or anything else you’d like to produce on sex education, sexual health, and relationships.
Writers: Don’t fancy appearing on camera? You can still offer your knowledge and expertise by working on articles or other copy.
Video editors: And if words are not your thing, you can help us make some stunning videos by editing the raw footage we’ll provide you with.
Medical fact-checkers: Our own research can only get us so far, so we’re keen to hear from health professionals and medical students to make sure our content is accurate.
Other: Would you like to get involved in a way that we have not listed? Are you keen on helping out with illustrations, events, or anything else? We would love to have you!
Are you interested? Send us an email at contact@pillowtalk.scot with a brief introduction of you and your work, why you’d like to volunteer with us, and how your experience would contribute to our work. You’re also more than welcome to ask any questions.
All of these roles are currently on a voluntary basis (we are all volunteers ourselves). While we recognise the value of compensating everyone's efforts, we currently lack the necessary resources to provide remuneration.
To mitigate this, we're aiming to onboard a larger number of volunteers to minimise your time commitment. We will also be offering some training, including on how to use WordPress and Canva, as well as social gatherings for volunteers. As we progress toward becoming a more structured organisation, we're committed to exploring ways to appropriately compensate the time and effort contributed by individuals.
